Study on Transpiration Water Consumption and Photosynthetic Characteristics of Landscape Tree Species under Ozone Stress

چکیده

Using Pinus bungeana, Platycladus orientalis, Koelreuteria paniculata and Ginkgo biloba as research objects, three open-top chambers with different ozone-concentration gradients were set up (NF, NF40 NF80) based on trunk sap-flow technology to study the difference in ozone absorption by trees under concentrations. The results showed that monthly diurnal variations of density tree species decreased increase concentration, concentration reduced water consumption, uptake rate (FO3), net photosynthetic (Pn) water-use efficiency (WUE) species. density, FO3 WUE higher than those bungeana orientalis significantly at concentrations NF80; compared NF, sap flow 1.04 1.03 times much respectively; consumption 1.82 1.56 decline was 1.30 1.52 1.64 respectively. have stronger tolerance ozone, while weak. A variety conifers can be planted areas serious pollution.

Photosynthetic Characteristics and Antioxidative Responses in Three Species of Crassulaceae Following Drought Stress

Photosynthetic characteristics and induction of crassulacean acid metabolism (CAM) by drought stress were investigated in Sedum album, Sedum stoloniferum and Rosularia elymaitica from Crassulaceae. Titratable acidity, malate content, phosphoenolpyruvate carboxylase (PEPC) activity and gas exchange parameters were determined in plants at the end and beginning of the photoperiod. Results showed t...

Tree species effects on stand transpiration in northern Wisconsin

[1] We quantified canopy transpiration (EC) using sap flux measurements representing the four major forest types (northern hardwoods, conifer, aspen/fir, and forested wetland) around the WLEF-TV tall tower in northern Wisconsin. In order to scale individual sap flux measurements to EC, we quantified the amount of sapwood area per unit ground area and the spatial distribution of sap flux within ...

Comparative Study on the Effect of Water Stress and Rootstock on Photosynthetic Function in Pistachio (Pistacia vera L.) Trees

The aim of this study is to evaluate the  effects of water deficit stress on chlorophyll fluorescence (CF) characteristics of photosystem II (PSII) and pigment contents in two rootstock seedlings (Pistacia atlantica L. and P. khinjuk L.). Three levels of soil water potential (Ψs) was used, including WWD (-0.05 MPa), MWD (-0.7 MPa) and SWD (-1.5 MPa). It was found that water stress increased the...

Effect of exogenous application of ascorbic acid on physiological and biochemical characteristics of wheat under water stress

Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) is widely cultivated in the Mediterranean zone where plantsgenerally suffer from water stress during heading and reproductive stages. This research wascarried out at the experimental farm of the faculty of agriculture, Kafrelsheikh University usingtwo water treatments (water stress and well-watered), four N levels (0, 80, 160 and 240 kg ha-1)and two ascorbic acid le...
